2026 Property Tax | Discount Deadline TODAY

Pitt County property tax bills are due September 1, 2026. 

August 31, 2026 is the last day to pay and receive a discount. 

Taxpayers have until January 5, 2027, to pay without incurring interest and penalties.

Property Listing Reminders

Business Personal Property
Business owners must list business assets with the Business Personal Property Division. This includes property owned by gift shops, boutiques, salons, barbershops, plumbers, electricians and other businesses.

Individual Personal Property
Owners of personal property such as boats, mobile homes, utility trailers and unregistered motor vehicles must list their property with the Individual Personal Property Division.

Failure to list required property may result in a discovery with applicable penalties.
